The OECD has released the international report for the 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) Financial Literacy survey.

The survey measures the financial literacy of 15-year-old students in participating countries, and explores the association between levels of financial literacy and opportunities to acquire financial literacy in school, at home and through personal experience. The 2018 assessment was the third cycle of PISA Financial Literacy, following surveys in 2012 and 2015.

The OECD report, , reveals that Australian students’ financial literacy achievement has remained stable since 2015.

Australia’s financial literacy performance was significantly higher than the OECD average. Australia ranked fifth out of thirteen participating OECD countries and economies.

Australia’s participation in PISA 2018 was managed by the ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ (ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ).
